According to AFROPUNK, a new documentary on the life and times of legendary Jamaican musician and supermodel Grace Jones has been approved by BBC (British Broadcasting Company), and was announced along with other projects that are set to be produced in celebration of the film’s division’s 25th anniversay. Titled Grace Jones: The Musical of Life, the Sophie Fiennes-directed film has been in the works for over the past seven years. According to a press releases, the documentary will be, “a cinematic journey into the private and public worlds of Grace Jones, mixing intimate personal footage with unique staged musical sequences.”
As a former model who became a classic sensation throughout her career in the mid ’80s with her timeless hits, Grace Jones has over time been an influential leader throughout the fashion and music industries. We couldn’t be more excited for the documentary to commence! Stay tuned for more.
