Watch Moses Sumney’s Symbolic “Quarrel” Short-film

There are just some artists you can’t ever have too much of. Moses Sumney is one and fortunately for us, we’re getting the official video for Aromanticism‘s “Quarrel.” The cinematic, seven-minute short is an abstract portrayal of familial betrayal. Using celebrated sculptor Berlinde De Bruyckere’s No Life Lost II, Sumney is both transparent and enigmatic, symbolically narrating the uncovering of a secret that results in a time-hopped role reversal.

The evocative visual features the album’s full version of “Quarrel” where that sweetly haunting, instrumental outro is paired with an equally charging closing scene. Watch the singer/songwriter and musician’s self co-directed (with Allie Avital) video above.
