Tyler, The Creator Adds Color and Charisma to NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert Series

There’s just something incredibly special about Tyler, The Creator that can’t be denied. The artist/musician/designer is not only an amazing talent in music, but a purveyor of positive energy and cool vibes by action. That’s why NPR’s latest Tiny Desk Concert further endears him to us just when we deemed it impossible to love him more than we already do. Tyler, backed by a drummer, upright bassist and two background singers, delivered a three-song set of live arrangements of “Boredom,” “See You Again” and “Glitter” from his 2017 release Flower Boy. True to his always unique and unpredictable aesthetic, the West Coast native’s performance featured special song-synced lighting and was recorded during evening hours. The surprise stray from NPR’s standard daylight Tiny Desk recordings only further solidifies the limitless creative flavor added to everything Tyler, The Creator touches.

You can watch Tyler and his band radiate their Jazzy, soulful joy in the video above.
