Tinashe, SZA, Empress Of, Abra, & More Come Together To Remake “Killing Me Softly”

Originally sung by Roberta Flack in the ’70s and recreated by the Fugees and Ms. Lauryn Hill in the ’90s, “Killing Me Softly” has recently been revamped by the fresh faces in R&B and Hip-Hop. Tinashe, SZA, Dej Loaf, Empress Of, Abra, Jean Deaux, and Lord Narf were all featured in a recently published The New York Times  Style Magazine work entitled The Season’s Most Seismic Earrings, on R&B and Hip-Hop’s Rising Stars

In the piece these seven ladies not only don earrings by designers such as Prada, Rosie Assoulin, Lemaire, Alexander Wang and more but they also each put their own spin on this classic song in some behind the scenes footage. Check it out above.
