Stream N.E.R.D’s No_One Ever Really Dies + Watch Their Kimmel Performance

After a long hiatus, N.E.R.D unexpectedly returned to scene with the Rihanna-assisted “Lemon” making us all crave the Rock, Hip Hop and Soul confetti that is their unique sound. Fortunately for us, they knew and soon after announced the release of their first album in seven years, No_One Ever Really Dies. The project arrives today with features from Andre 3000, Gucci Mane, Wale, Future and Kendrick Lamar who blesses two cuts with a verse. Ten tracks of new jams that flawlessly carry N.E.R.D’s signature style also show the guys’ range and evolved flexibility as a collective unit. At the end of “Voilà” Wale’s verse is supported by a futuristic Afrobeat while Future’s portion of “1000” flips the song into a Trap banger, but personal favorite “ESP” is the perfect, thought-provokingly empowering number that houses all the breathy effects and synths we’ve come to know and love from N.E.R.D.

The trio has plans to hit the road for a tour as revealed by Pharrell during a recent interview with Zane Lowe. And since they just killed it on Kimmel (where they performed “1000” and “Lemon”), we’re confident they’ll be hitting each city with something we don’t want to miss. Listen to N.E.R.D’s No_One Ever Really Dies below and watch their late-night TV performance of “Lemon” above.
