Solange Pays Special Tribute to Houston and Brings Out Yungstar at Super Bowl LIVE Concert

It’s a big weekend for Houston as fans near and far travel into the city with Super Bowl 51 in mind. Our very own Solange returns to her hometown for the special occasion and provided the moves and grooves for the Super Bowl LIVE event on Thursday night.

In a 45 minute set, the Houston starlet performed songs from her Grammy nominated album A Seat at the Tablealong with hits from her second studio album Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams like “T.O.N.Y.” and a cover of Selena‘s “I Could Fall in Love With You.” Additionally, in a special tribute to her native stomping ground, she brought out local legend Yungstar of the Screwed Up Click to perform “Knocking Pictures Off Da Wall.” “That was just my little school revenge moment,” she shared. “It feels so good to be home.

Not one to forgo an opportunity to inspire, she ends the show in positivity and love. “I just wanna send some love to my people, my immigrants, my Mexican brothers and sisters, my Muslim brothers and sisters, and say that you belong.” Check out some footage from the show below.
