Pharrell Williams and ‘Girls Trip’ Writer Tracy Oliver Join Forces for Horror Film

Pharrell Williams is teaming up with Tracy Oliver, the writer behind the hit comedy Girls Trip, to bring a new horror film to the big screen. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Survive the Night (based off of the book of the same name) will follow a group of four friends who find themselves trapped inside a warehouse during a music festival on Halloween. Warner Bros. has picked up the Oliver-written script with Williams sitting in the producer chair next to Mimi Valdes, his partner at I Am Other Entertainment. Tracy Oliver will also direct the music-themed thriller.

The four friends, all female, college students, must fight for their lives against a mysterious attacker who hunts them down throughout the night. Considering Pharrell’s reign as the King of soundtracks and Oliver’s recent accolades for her stand-out direction of Girl’s Trip (and Jhene Aiko’s Trip) this collaboration is definitely one to watch out for!
