Misty Copeland Places Herself in Edgar Degas’ Impressionist World In New Issue Of Harper’s Bazzar

Misty Copeland has and continues to be pioneer in the world of fine arts and particularly in the art of dance. Continuing to make history, Copeland has recently channeled the French artist Edgar Degas’s most famous ballet works in Harpers Bazaar as a part of an exhibit in New York’s Museum of Modern Art.

“It was amazing just to notice all of the small details but also how he still allows you to feel like there’s movement. That’s what I think is so beautiful and difficult about dance too,” said Copeland on taking on the task of recreating these famous paintings. “You’re trying to strive for this perfection, but you still want people to get that illusion that your line never ends and that you never stop moving.”
