Listen To Thundercat’s Wondrously Dreamy New Album, ‘Drunk’

Soul maverick Thundercat is back, and Drunk is relevant in all the right places. The new album comes after his 2015 mini-album The Beyond / Where the Giants Raom, and right on time, the star-studded Drunk comes amplifying the beautiful vocals we know and love from Thundercat along with collaborators including Kendrick Lamar, Flying Lotus, Kamasi Washington, Wiz Khalifa, and soul veteran Pharrell.

The funky soul producer-singer fuses in new influences and speaks on our political landscape as well as everyday ups & downs in love and just about everything else. Standout cuts include “Sho You The Way,” featuring music veterans Michael McDonald and Kenny Loggins, and playful “Friend Zone,” produced by Mono/Poly. You’ll even get a chuckle at the way the bass-loving musician doesn’t hold back in his subject-matter, atop dreamy electro-soul soundscapes and sound adventures. Fingers crossed for some equally quirky visuals to accompany!

Thundercat is already on the road, and it’s not too late to catch him. Check out remaining world tour dates here, and listen to the anticipated album below now.
