Lauryn Hill to Tour North America in Celebration of ‘Miseducation of Lauryn Hill’ 20th Anniversary

Lauryn Hill

Ms. Lauryn Hill is slated to embark on a North American tour in celebration of her first and only studio album’s 20th Anniversary. Considering its relevance even today, shock that Miseducation of Lauryn Hill is already two decades old is totally expected. And when you think about it, this seminal masterpiece wasn’t just ahead of its time, it was also especially timely. The tour’s first leg for the Northeast and Midwest will kick off in Virginia on July 5th and breaks for one month after the August 8th stop in Holmdel, NJ. North and Southwest regions can expect to see the elusive paragon during one of the thirteen stops between September 7th and October 5th.

Ms. Lauryn Hill was quoted from a statement as saying, “This album chronicled an intimate piece of my young existence. It was the summation of most, if not all, of my most hopeful and positive emotions experienced to that date. I Loved and believed deeply in my community’s ability to both Love and heal itself provided it received the right amount of support and encouragement. Our world today, both complex and changing, is in need of the balance between moral fortitude and cathartic expression. I hope the Love and energy that permeated this work can continue to inspire change with Love and optimism at the helm.

Tickets for most shows go on sale April 20th at 10 a.m. Various pre-sales began earlier this afternoon. You can grab your tickets and get further details via Ticketmaster.
