Killer Mike Joins Bernie Sanders’ Panel on the Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King

Michael Render, better known as Killer Mike , has been a vocal supporter of presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders since the Vermont Senator won an immediate endorsement from the Atlanta rapper following the support of rejuvenating the Voting Rights Act.

Earlier this month when Mike sat down to discuss why he’s supporting Sanders to speak on racial inequality in America on The Colbert Show, the Run the Jewels emcee stated that Bernie is “the only politician who has consistently for 50 years taken [Martin Luther King Jr.’s] social justice platform into politics.” Yesterday in Charleston, South Carolina, the pair sat down with Cornel West and State Senator Nina Turner as apart of Sander’s panel to discuss the importance of Dr. Martin Luther King’s influence, legacy, and the relevance that Dr. King’s work has on today’s society.

As we celebrate the life of Dr. King, watch the informal and inspiring discussion above .
