Jamila Woods & Chance The Rapper Unveil “LSD” Visual

The altruistic and artistic Jamila Woods has shared an affecting new visual for the Chance The Rapper-assisted “LSD.” A Chicago native, Woods’ affection for her city and the community’s youth align perfectly with fellow Chicagoan Chance’s hometown pride. The two who also share an inspiring passion to maintain art’s relevance and access to children and teens throughout the city, you may recall, requested (back in May) PDF video treatment submissions for “LSD” from Chicago Public School (CPS) students. Today we’re blessed with the sparkling fruit of Woods, Chance and contest winner Ashley Huicochea’s collaborative labor.

Showcasing Chicago’s authentic, beautifully youthful serenity, the Sam Bailey and Vincent Martell-directed visual features Jamila and Chance at a backyard function with friends and, most notably, the poet/philanthropist/singer/songwriter/activist’s tranquil consolation from the calming stillness of the song’s muse, “the lake.” Check out the Lake Shore Drive-dedicated “LSD” visual above and the full list of CPS participants below.
