Gap Enlists SZA, Metro Boomin & More for New Logo Remix Campaign

To celebrate it’s 50th anniversary and to launch their latest Logo Remix collection Gap, has teamed up with some of “the world’s leading culture remixers.” The classic apparel retailer enlisted TDE’s SZA, Hip-Hop/Trap mega producer Metro Boomin, Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why Miles Heizer, British TV presenter Maya Jama and the upcoming Ocean’s 8 actress Awkwafina as the faces of its new campaign. In an accompanying commercial, the brand displays a modern spin on past Gap logos over a groovy Metro produced remix of “Hold Me Now” by the Thompson Twins. The new collection will be available online on January 27th and features a range of remixed apparel.

Gap’s choice of culture remixers was superb to say the least. With a compilation of musicians, actors, YouTubers and more, the campaign is both refreshing and inclusive. If you have not already see the campaign, take a peek below via Instagram and be sure to tune into the Grammy’s Sunday to view it entirely. There is truly something quite special about hearing “If young Metro don’t trust you…” lead into a Gap commercial.
