Audio: Moses Sumney, “Indulge Me”

Moses Sumney

Today’s World Record premiere on Beats 1 Radio is easily one of our favorites to date. Heavenly vocalist Moses Sumney‘s latest single “Indulge Me” is a dreamlike escape into tuneful exploration of an aromatic’s thoughts. The acoustic guitar-driven, reflective ode to independence and loneness is far from an anti-love or weepy “rescue me” ballad. With just one verse and a direct refrain, Sumney’s incredibly seraphic falsetto sings a psalm that dispels the deeply dramatic presumptions of preferred solitude. He sings of his pure divergence, “All my old lovers have found others/ I was lost in the rapture/ Dead Sea as barren as a stutter in colored laughter/ I don’t trouble nobody/ Nobody troubles my body after/ All my old others have found lovers.”

Until Aromanticism‘s full release brings us to our knees with the Autumn Equinox on September 22nd, listen to Moses Sumney’s precious new single “Indulge Me” below.
