Ama Lou has delivered another remarkably massive performance with her new single “Lost My Home” less than two months after she shared the thoughtful “Said It Already.” Though she’s just 18 years old, the North London-hailing songstress’ heavenly light and still powerful vocals soar in this new, part empathetic – part personal single. Inspiration for the breathtakingly-paced track arose from her own sensitivity to the world’s political and social tensions during a time where she herself began feeling a disconnect from the comfort of an actual dwelling space of her own.
Over hollow but weighty and strikingly impactful instrumentation by NYC duo Likeminds, Ama describes “Lost My Home” as a, “response to everything that was going on at the time, in politics and personally, focusing on feeling separated from your life and what you’re used to and having to learn how to firm it and keep going.” You can listen to the track below and via Spotify and Apple Music. And if you’ll be in London on April 4th, grab tickets to see the lovely songbird live at Waiting Room in Stoke Newington here.
