Designer Spotlight: Azede Jean-Pierre

After moving to New York, Haitian-bred designer Azede Jean-Pierre cut her teeth at Ralph Rucci and Ohne Titel before starting her eponymous line.  Jean-Pierre has truly hit her stride with only three years of official experience under her belt. Jean-Pierre’s signature can be noted as scalloped hems and rich silks, but her attention to detail is what truly sets her collections apart. Her ability to mix structured pieces with fun nuances like beetles or Yayoi Kusama style dots pack a punch that we don’t often see from America-based designers. Having already dressed style icons like Solange and Michelle Obama and being named the “Next Big Thing” by, Azede Jean-Pierre is poised to be a force to reckon with.
